Library Code Of Conduct
"
One man's
liberty ends where
another
man's
begins
."
Respecting others is just what eagles do! Every student is expected at
DHS
to respect the rights and privileges of others. The student’s responsibilities for achieving a positive learning library is as follows:
Food, drinks and gum are not allowed in the library.
Do not create a disturbance by making loud noise, talking loudly, shouting, pushing, or any other rowdy behavior.
Designated Quiet Areas are for quiet reading and studying. Extensive, loud conversations, joint study activity and tutoring are not permitted in designated Quiet Areas of the Library.
Actively work on class work, homework, research, projects, or reading while in the library.
Use the library computers and other technology without violating the DeSoto ISD Student Use of Technology policy.
Library users are expected to talk quietly. Excessive socializing is inappropriate and discouraged.
All group work must be done with respect for other users; participants may be asked to relocate if their activity disturbs others.
To prevent disturbance from ring tones, cell phones must be placed on vibrate and the sound turned off when entering the Library.
The privilege of using the library will be restricted if a student violates the code of conduct.
Take pride in our library and dispose of trash.
