"A primary object should be the education of our youth in the science of government.  In a republic, what species of knowledge can be equally important?  And what duty more pressing than communicating it to those who are to be the future guardians of the liberties of the country?" – George Washington

Welcome to my website.  I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to begin my thirteenth year here at DeSoto High School serving in the capacity of a classroom teacher to a multitude of awesome students.

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of American Government and provided an analytical perspective on the issues related to politics. We will explore the American political processes including the role of government and the role of citizens in our political system.  It is my goal that students gain an understanding and an appreciation of the demands and difficulties of living in a constitutional republic.

I am a graduate of Irving High School.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a minor in History from East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce.
