Welcome to my website.  I am truly blessed to have the opportunity to begin my fourteenth year here at DeSoto High School serving in the capacity of a classroom teacher to a multitude of awesome students.

Students will be introduced to the fundamentals of American Government and provided an analytical perspective on the issues related to politics. We will explore the American political processes including the role of government and the role of citizens in our political system.  It is my goal that students gain an understanding and an appreciation of the demands and difficulties of living in a constitutional republic.

I am a graduate of Irving High School.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education with a minor in History from East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce.

Periods 1, 2
Periods 5, 6, 7, 8

Mission Statement

To foster civic-mindedness in students through cultivating the ability to engage in civil discourse, acquiring knowledge in political processes, developing civic skills, and practicing civic virtues essential in the preservation of our liberties and Republican form of government that is predicated on citizen participation.
